Rodrigo Mamani (b. 1998, Bolivia) investigates memory images — fragmented, clear, and somewhere in between — creating a sphere in which these situations are displaced and twisted, hovering between the real and the unreal. By breaking up conventional ways of seeing, using elements from drawings in the form of studies, memories, and projects (such as roses and Malmö), and applying a conceptual apparatus to his work, he understands and allows the images to develop through intuition, colour, and composition.
